Route the battery temperature sensor cables through the conduit box to the UPS. Disconnect the cables from J2–1 and J2–2 and connect the battery temperature sensor.
The batteries are factory installed in the cabinets and connected by jumpers between the cabinets. Depending on the battery size the cabinets can weigh up to 5000 pounds each.
Battery cabinets must be adjacent to the UPS equipment. Cable lengths from multiple cabinets should be kept as nearly identical as possible to prevent voltage drop variations.
Do not disconnect the battery connectors under load under any circumstances. Battery replacement and external battery cabinet installation shall be handled by qualified SERVICE PERSONNEL only.
Connect the battery cable accessory to one end of the battery port on the rear panel of the UPS and connect the other end to any battery port on the rear panel of the EBC.
